CAN'T AFFORD PRESCRIPTIONS OR SURGERY FOR MY BACK INJURY

pedro started this conversation

I am a 24 year old immigrant from Poland, unemployed and uninsured. I have a very serious and painful spinal condition that can only be treated with medication and eventually surgery. I can't get insurance because it is a pre-existing condition and no insurance company will take me on. I had a very hard childhood with abusive and neglectful parents and have no family support. I'm having trouble keeping a steady paycheck due to the excruciating pain that I have to deal with everyday. Now the doctor that I have gone to since I was 12 is closing his practice. I have called almost every doctor's office in the state of Connecticut and I can't find one yet that will treat me without insurance. I have never begged for money and never thought that I would, but I have reached my wits end. I don't feel very confident that this will even work, but right about now I am prepared to try anything. Anything that anyone can give can help, even if it's only a penny. I can't even get my own PayPal account because I don't have a bank account, so my girlfriend has offered to let me use hers.  You can donate money to me at her Pay Pal account, her email is sandy29_@hotmail.com.  I appreciate you taking your time to read my story. Happy Holidays and God Bless you all.

Is there any help available for a 21 year old male who was in a serious car accident and broke his leg and had to have surgery. 10 weeks healing time ahead. He has no health insurance and will not be able to return to his job. He is currently in Charlotte, NC. He will not have money to pay for therapy and medications. Are there any State or Federal programs that could help? He is single with no children. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Pat

I work with a discount health care company that is an affordable alternative to insurance, and our health members have access to our hospital advocacy plan for operations and hospital stays. Click on the link near my picture that says Save Money/Make Money to learn more.  You may even want to learn more about working with us from home so you can make your own hours based on how you are feeling.  Let me know if you ahve any questions!  Best wishes, Rosie

Generic medications are a great way to keep your prescription drug costs down.   I’ve seen ads on TV for Caduet. It has two ingredients.  One is Amlodipine and the other is Atorvastatin.  With my RxDrugCard I can get 30 tablets of Amlodipine for $9 and 30 tablets of Simvastatin for $9.  I’ll bet they are charging more than $18 for this!  The unthinking public is going to pressure their doctors into giving them something just because it’s new, when something old or generic would do the job for cheaper.

Pedro, first of all check with your local social services office and apply for medicaid.Medicaid is retroactive to the date of application. You can also file for unemployment. if you need prescriptions, check with partnership for prescription assistance. I have the all links on my home page. Good luck!
